Upcoming Events

The Society is currently undergoing a comprehensive transformation. We are preparing to launch a brand-new website later this spring to better serve beekeepers throughout the western United States, Western Canada, and Hawaii. During this transition, please use this page for up-to-date event and registration details.

Monthly Virtual Mini-Conferences

We host two live-streamed educational events every month at 7:00 PM Mountain Time:

Registration & Access

Our live-stream and hybrid events are hosted on the vFairs 3-D immersive platform.

How to Join a Live Event

  1. Log In up to 1-hour Early: The portal opens one hour before the scheduled start time. Log in at the WAS vFairs Portal
     

  2. Enable Audio: CRITICAL: Click "Allow" when your browser asks for microphone access. You will not hear the stream without this permission.
     

  3. Enter the Auditorium: Walk virtually through the lobby and click on the main auditorium.
     

  4. Click the Screen: Click the presentation screen to view the countdown timer.
     

  5. Join the Stream: When the countdown ends, an audible tone will sound as the join button appears; click the JOIN button.

Troubleshooting & Technical Support

Quick Fixes:

Can't Register? You are likely already registered. Go straight to the login page instead.


No Sound or Video? You likely blocked microphone permissions. Log out, log back in, and click "Allow" when prompted.

Getting Help During an Event

Use Live Support: Click the Tech Support link or Chat button inside the vFairs platform.

The Western Apicultural Society (WAS) is a non-profit, educational, beekeeping organization founded in 1978 for the benefit and enjoyment of all beekeepers in western North America. Membership is encouraged from anywhere in the world. However, the organization is specifically designed to meet the educational needs of beekeepers from the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming as well as the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan and the Yukon.
